Hi Everyone, Denny here...I am a Fawn male pug that is 6 years old but does not act like it. I feel like I am just a puppy, but know that I am potty trained and can sit on command. I love to be around people and other dogs that are at my foster home with me. I have 2 cats in the house as well, but do not know what to think about them so I just bark to see if they are going to play with me or not. I like it when my foster family is sitting down in the living room, because that is my chance to lie down on or around them and just relax. Big Tex

Big Tex is a sweetheart of a dog. He may be 10 years old, but he is  able-bodied and loves to play tug-of-war with his toys. He doesn't see too well but he gets around fine. He can't hear too well, but that just helps him sleep really soundly! Big Tex prefers to be on the floor instead of in the bed (very un-pug-like). But he does like to be near you when you are home. He gets along great with other dogs. He is 100% housebroken. He probably would not do well with small children only because he can get startled if there is a lot of activity. He will make a great companion though; he has such a sweet nature and is just a really good boy!!

Pugsley 10 is around 8-9 yrs old and will make a great companion and couch "pugtato" for someone.  He loves to be near a human and does not ask for much.  He is quite overweight and could use the Weight Watchers Plan for sure. He does enjoy going on walks so with a controlled diet he should slim down without problem. Pugsley appears to be housetrained and is not on any medication.  He came into rescue when his owner began to travel alot for work.  He currently resides with 6 other pug brothers of all ages and gets along great with all of them. If you want a friend to watch baseball and hang with, Pugsley is your man!

Hello Good Puggie People!  My name is Max and I am 9 years young!  Don't let my gray hairs fool you - I've got alot of good years left in me.  Why, after my recent surgery, my hips are practically new!  I have fully recovered, and I am looking for my new home. I came to pug rescue through no fault of my own.  My prior person got ill and had to move into a place where they did not allow dogs.  So, now I am  looking for a new family. I am good with other dogs, but I could just as easily be an "only" dog.  I like people more than other dogs.  I am housebroken.  I would like a new family where we can hang out on the couch, or where we can putter around the yard.  I just want to be with you - I don't care what we do!  I am a very easy keeper.  I want to do exactly what pugs were bred for - be a full time companion!   

I have two things that I must have with my new family.  First, you must let me sleep on the bed.  There is no negotiating. I am 9 years old, and I know what I want.  No exceptions!  If you try anything else, you will find out I can bark for a very long time!  Second, I love to have Cheetos before I go to bed.  We might be able to negotiate on this one, and I might accept a substitute, but it will need to be a good one!

I am very lovable, give great pug kisses, am housetrained, and have so much to offer to a family. I just want to be loved - could that be by your family? I am a healthy six year old girl who was surrendered by my previous owner, due to no fault of my own.  I am staying with my foster mom now, and I like it here, but I know I need to find my own place soon.  There are a lot of other puggies waiting for a place to stay.   I look older in my picture than I really am because I carry the "silver" pug trait.  But, I am really just six years young.
 
 I live with other dogs and even a couple of cats!  I like everyone here as long as they don't try to take my toys away (there is a great toy basket here I dump over each morning)!  My foster mom has been teaching me to share, and she says I am making great progress! 
 
I am trained to use a piddle pad in the house, but I also go outside (I love being out when the weather is good for me).  I will be gratuating from the piddle pad soon, so I will need your help when I come live with you, but I am learning fast.  I am also crate trained and I don't mind it at all.
 
Other dogs are fine for me to live with, but I really don't need them cause I like to be the "only child" and I entertain myself.    Cats are not a big deal, they don't take my toys.

Hi, I'm Lulu and I've been enjoying my new life with my new foster family, free to run and play for the first time since I can remember! I spent all of my life in a tiny crate until I came to DFW Pug Rescue, so my back knees are injured on both of my legs. Instead of running like other pugs, I hop like a bunny because my knees don't bend properly. The doctor said I will need surgery on both of my knees so I can live a regular, healthy life. I am only 4 years old and weigh 12 pounds so I have a lot of adventures ahead of me! Hopping around doesn't stop me from playing with my foster sisters and exploring. I get along well with other dogs, and kitties I just ignore. I am a little afraid of men, until they gain my trust, but I am a super snuggler with foster mom. It's my job to wake her up every morning with kisses and I talk to her about all my big plans for the day. My foster mom says I would do best in a home without children. Sir Luke is a nine year old little black pug with a big spirit. He sleeps for much of the day, but when he's awake, he's very lively and full of love. He is laid back and does not demand much from us other than to lie next to us wherever we are. He warmed up to his foster family almost immediately. Luke was an owner surrender and seems to have received good medical care throughout his life. Sir Luke is perfectly house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He does fairly well in his crate, though he will bark at first when he's in there. Speaking of barking, Sir Luke is a very good guard dog, though sometimes he just likes to bark at the wind! Luke gets along perfectly with his foster brother and two foster sisters. He likes toys and loves treats and is just about the most adorable little Pug you could imagine!

Alisha is a 2-4 year old fawn female who was found as a stray. Because of this, we have no information about her previous life but she does appear to possibly have been mistreated. She will flinch if you approach her face and head quickly. Alisha is a beautiful girl weighing in at 25.5 lbs. She is quite the acrobat; she looks like she is flying through the air to get to the top of the couch!  Alisha is crate trained and house broken.  She appears in her foster home to be an alpha female; strong willed. She will need an experienced dog owner to help her become the best Pug she can be. If you want an active, smart girl, Alisha may be just the ticket!

Mercy was saved from being euthanized because of an injured eye.  The DFW Pug Rescue angels saw to it that she received the vet care she needed, and she has adjusted extremely well to the loss of her eye.  While her depth perception is a little off (makes some of her gazelle-like jumps on and off of furniture a little less than graceful), her sweet nature and desire to snuggle with her humans makes up for her clumsiness. 

Mercy loves to play with her foster brothers, both furry and human - she tolerates the grabby hands of our one-year old son and playfully scuffles with Denny the pug (also looking for a forever home).  If you are laying on the couch, she will run right over and snuggle up under your arm and against your body - she'll be a great warmer in the winter.  This little golden girl is potty trained using the doggie door and walks great on a leash.  She doesn't suffer from the loud, labored breathing of full-blooded pugs, but has the happy personality of a pedigreed pup.

Meet Pickles.  A 5-7 year old female pug who loves nothing more than to be a lapdog or to go on walks with her foster mom.  Pickles has allergies that can kept under control by a grain free diet, medicated baths and occasional inexpensive medication.
 
Pickles is an alpha gal who is not afraid to tell you what she wants by either barking or whining.  She is crate trained, housetrained and learning basic commands.  Pickles will do best in a home with no other dogs or cats.

I AM BACK !  My name is Fu Man Chu.  The kind person who adopted me went to the Rainbow Bridge, so I have been returned to DFW Pug Rescue.  I am looking for a new person or family to share all this love I have to give!   I am a people pug - some would say I am a "velcro" pug!  I want to be with you everywhere you go, even if we are outside.  I love to snuggle on the bed or the couch.   It is a requirement that you let me sleep with you on the bed.  Otherwise, I will raise a ruckus!   I am very easy going, and get along with all kinds of furry critters.  However, I would rather play with you than the other animals. Maybe that will change someday.  Get this - I like baths!  So, I am an awesome pug who smells good!   I am trying to figure out the dog door in my foster home, and I should get the hang of it pretty soon.  I might need some reminders about potty training when I get to your house, so you will need to have a little patience. But it shouldn't take me long!

This is Ginger Girl.  She weighs about 13 lbs, but we have been working on gaining some weight because you could count her ribs she was so skinny.  She's one of the Marlow babies but just as sweet as she can be.  Gets along with all the other dogs and ignores the cat.  Very active although she doesn't know what to do with toys, which I think is so sad.  She is housetrained and we are working on the crate training.  She will wake up at about 2 am and get really restless and bark a little.  I just go in and tell her to go back to sleep and she settles down and goes back to sleep.  She gets along with kids just fine.  She loves to be held and loved on.

This here is Tanner Marlow, Private Eye Pug. You have undoubtedly heard of me. I escaped from Abu Growl prison in Marlow, Oklahoma, last week with the assistance of my contacts in the DFW Pug Rescue organization. My covert deep underground sources had tapped out a puggy SOS and lo and behold, the famous rescue peeps came with their capes and tights and PugOWeen T shirts and got us all out of a bad situation. I was the stud puggy in Marlow with my own harem, but my foster mom says I am currently the only pug in her household who does not pee indoors or misbehave. I do enjoy scratches and pats and lovey dovey looks from ladies, but I'm just a little afraid of men. My foster dad and I get along just fine, though, especially after he offered me a bowl of stew with meaty muffin sauce. I am about 7 years old and will be wanting to relocate my headquarters soon. Meet Stormy Ann.  Stormy is about 8 years old and was part of Operation Marlow.  We were surprised at how quickly she adapted to our home and all of the other pugs.  We found out very quickly that she is a very smart pug.  She is housebroken, only had a couple of nervous accidents when she first arrived but learned the doggie door quickly. She does not mind the crate but prefers to be where you are.  Stormy Ann is a great pug that will make someone a wonderful pet. Petey Boy Marlow here, a small but significant member of the Marlow gang.  I weigh in at about 13 lbs, so I am a happy, petite, sturdy guy.  My foster mom says I must be younger than the 4 yrs the doctors say I am because I run around and wrestle and am as active as a puppy.  I am trying to learn house manners but sometimes I get so busy....I'm trying and making progress.  I love to play with the other dogs and might do well with another young dog that likes to play or even some kids.  I've not been around cats and I have so much energy I think they might be fun to chase....but I don't know for sure.  I sure hope there is a spot in your home for a little guy like me!

Dolly is a glamorous 8 year old young lady.  She enjoys long walks, peanut butter, warm baths, and soft beds/pillows.  She loves attention and would be most content to spend her days as princess of your lap.  Her most FAVORITE thing of all is to be scratched right by her tail.  If you put your hand by her paw she will give you “five” but expects loving in return.  She is both crate and house trained, but prefers to follow you around if you’re home.  She is also very well behaved on a lead.  She will require steps if you want to snuggle with her on the couch or bed as she has is unable to jump up on either.  She does, however, handle stairs very well.  She gets along very well with the other dogs, but really isn’t interested in playing.

I am house trained, crate trained, cat-friendly, and I LOVE walks - but not too long since my legs are pretty short. Hi everyone! My name is Ellen May, although my foster family calls me Ellie May, Little Bit, or Piglet because they say that Ellen sounds too fancy for their house and everyone has something called a ‘nickname.’  I have a lot of foster brothers and sisters – my human foster  mom calls us all ‘dogs,’ and there is also one that she calls ‘cat.’ We all get along very well because my human mom believes in something called a ‘schedule.’  I only have one eye and I don’t see out of it, but it doesn’t stop me from enjoying life or getting around the house or yard.  I only get to eat twice a day but I do get a few little ‘good girl’ treats in between because I’m learning ‘manners’ and I let my human mom put drops in my eye. When I’m excited, I spin in circles and sound like a little piglet! I sleep in my soft bed in my crate in the living room with my toys, but I don’t get locked in it any other time. Sometimes though, I just gather all my toys up and go in there to nap during the day. Sssh! My human foster sister lets me sleep in the bed with her when she’s here. If you like me, I will try to be a very good girl for you.

Hi My Friends,

First I want to thank everyone who helped me get my first set
of wheels. I really appreciate everyone's help. I am a great little girl that
is only 6-7 years old and came into the hands of these great people at DFW
Pug Rescue. They sent me to the good Dr.G because I could barely walk. They
did x-rays, bloodwork, and put me through the mill to find out that I have
ruptured disks, deformed vertebraes, severe Osteo Arthritis, and all they
could do was keep me comfortable with pain management and get me a set of
wheels.

But my foster mom did  everything possible to help me walk while
awaiting the arrival of my new chair. We went to a chiropractor, did water
therapy and guess what - I do not have to be in the chair full time. One day
I will be in the chair permanently and I have learned to get around really
well in my new wheels. My foster mom keeps asking me for my license and
tells me I need a tag that reads "Princess on Wheels".

I am ready for my new pad to have a forever family that is understanding that I may get a little slow sometimes. But I sure make up for it in pug kisses. I love to cuddle
and sleep with you. I am not much trouble at all. I will be making my first
Adoption Event outing this weekend - come check me out!

Mugsy is a two year old pug with a soft, fleecy coat and huge doe eyes that scream "Love me."  He has an adorable crooked under bite at which you can't help but smile back and he knows how to get your attention for special head scratches and belly rubs.  He plays well with his foster pug brother but can be a little greedy at meal times and checks out the other bowl just to be sure nothing was left behind.  He is used to a doggie door and is working on how to let you know his desire to go outside when there is no such door.  Mugsy has mastered snoring like no other.  He is a real sweetheart with a lot of puggy love to offer.

Hello!  My name is Hollie and I am a young 8 year old pug.  Don't let my beautiful grey face fool you, I am a frisky and playful girl.  I get along fantastically with my two foster sisters (both pugs).  I love to play almost as much as I love to cuddle next to you on the couch and sleep in your bed.  I am visually impaired, but not totally blind.  I am a smart girl.  I learned my way around my foster mom's house in just a couple of days.  That includes learning to go up and down stairs and learning to use the doggie door.
 
I require medication for my eyes twice a day, but I am a very good girl about it.  I don't seem to mind the medicine one bit!  I really enjoy going on walks when the weather is nice (as long as you remember to guide me so I don't trip over things).  My foster Mom says that I would probably do best in a home without very small children. Not because I don't like kids - I love them... but because I tend to trip over things like toys or shoes that are left in the floor.  If you are thinking I would make a good addition to your home, I promise to repay you with cuddles and kisses once I get to know you.

Barron has been livin' large as he is nearly 38 lbs of happy, easy-going, pot-bellied Pug!  He is 8 years old and has just moved into his foster home. He picked up the use of the doggie door quickly and doesn't mind the other 5 pugs around him. Barron is a big, sweet guy who will go on a weight reduction plan. If you need a dieting buddy or just a great couch pugtato, Barron is your guy!

Hello Pug people, my name is Thomas and I am 8 years young.  I am  house trained and do not mark.  My foster mom does not have a doggy door, but I'm pretty sure I would love one, so I could go out, whenever I want to sniff things, and just enjoy being out. Looking for a lot of dog in a small package?  Then I’m your husky honey.  I’m an 8 year old female fawn pug named Mahdi (that’s Maddie, to you Texans) and I’m looking for a forever home with the right guy and/or gal.  I am very well behaved and am potty trained. My favorite activity is lying beside my human hunk on a sofa or recliner while he watches TV or takes a nap, or lying at his feet when he is on the computer.  If you’re good, I’ll show you the tip of my tongue and if you’re very good I’ll smile and show you my bottom teeth.   I also like to take romantic walks at dusk & dawn, (after all, a girl has to stay in shape, even if that shape is round) provided the walks are at my pace and not too long.  I know to go outside if it is not time for a  walk; but haven’t figured out the doggy door yet.  If one of my new foster friends go out, I can follow.

I like lady humans too, but it’s the men that curl my tail.  I get along with male dogs, but do not do well with other female dogs.  After all there is only one queen bee, and that’s me.  By the way, I’ll always let you know when I need to use the outdoor powder room.

Don’t let the pretty face and sweet disposition fool you, I can snort, wheeze, and grunt with the best of them.  And I’ll wait my turn when being fed with other dogs, provided my turn is first.  Just don’t stand between me and my food – after all, I AM a Pug … all Pug.  Call me! Let’s you and me do lunch (or any meal).
