Peanut and Butters...
Puppies Abandoned in a Dallas Park

Please meet Peanut and Butters - What a start to life these two 8 week old puppies have been dealt! Someone abandoned them in a Dallas park in the summer heat in the middle of the day. They were left in a milk crate and were found and taken into safety. DFW Pug Rescue was called and we were there in a flash to get them and take them to our vet.

Peanut is the little boy and he is completely blind, most likely from birth. Butters is the little girl and she is three times bigger than Peanut but appears to be in a little better condition. Both have worms and are missing hair. They both have great personalities and will be great little pugs once they have been cleared of worms and get healthy.

Please donate to help cover the medical expense on these two little pugs. Peanut will most likely need eye medication for life. They are in great hands now and will be available for adoption after they recover. Thanks in advance from two adorable babies!

Small but mighty...
Mighty Dog the Pug lives life to the fullest

Hi, I'm Mighty, I'm one year old and I'm the new pug on the block. Don't feel sorry for me cuz I'm missing an eye and an ear. Dr. G said I can wear an eyepatch if I want and speak pirate and be the envy of all the pugs at PugOWeen this year. Arrrggghhh. Just practicin' there.

I came to rescue with lots of bumps and bruises, and my face was all swollen up. I am doing much better now and will be getting my stitches out this week. Plus the scars add a dash of mystery, don't you think? My foster brother Jiggs has been real busy teaching me tug of war and chase. My most favorite thing is climbing up into foster mom's lap for a snuggle. She says I'm a pretty good ear nibbler and I like to talk to her a lot. I love kids of all ages and enjoy playing with my foster brother. Stay tuned, I'll be interviewing for a new home crew soon yee maties!

UPDATE: Operation Marlow Rescue
Fourteen pugs rescued from tough conditions

MARLOW, Okla. -
DFW Pug Rescue took in 14 pugs last week, including 3 pregnant females and a number of pugs needing immediate medical care. Some of these pugs have eye injuries that require medical attention and many have serious periodontal problems including abscessed and painful teeth, making it difficult for them to eat.

"With the Marlow pugs, we now have 140 pugs in foster care," said Fred Campos, founder of Dallas Fort Worth Pug Rescue. "We have broken all previous records for the number of pugs in foster homes, and our medical needs and expenses for these precious pugs have never been more urgent."

Four volunteers traveled to the site in Oklahoma to bring these little ones to safety.

Sophie weighed only 9 pounds when she came to pug rescue after her owner passed away. Sophie is a tiny girl and she is one of our most beloved rescues. She has had a very tough time and is fighting now to survive. Sophie was very frail and hungry when we picked her up, and she had gone without food for some days before she was found. Sophie was frightened and grieving and deserves the absolute best medical care and attention we can give her.

Please help Sophie by making a donation in her name. Help us give her he absolute best medical care and the love she deserves.
