Story

Five-year-old Gustavo, affectionately known as “Gus” or “Goose” in his foster family, is an outgoing little ray of sunshine with super soft fur. He loves having any chance to socialize with people and dogs of all ages, and will give humans a little nudge with his paw when he wants cuddles or affection. Gustavo is a connoisseur of chew sticks and squeaky toys, and when he meets new people, he will run to get his favorite toy of the day to show it off to them. His other favorite things include screaming with excitement when his food is being served, screaming with excitement when his foster family comes home, and cuddling next to his humans as the “little spoon” in bed at night. Gustavo is housetrained and doggie door trained, but doesn’t love to be crated; thankfully, he can be trusted to roam freely in his foster home and usually naps on the couch when the family is away. He has luxating patellas and can’t go for long walks, but that doesn’t stop him from trotting around the home or jumping on the sofa. He requires daily allergy meds to keep that pesky Texas pollen at bay, and also takes a daily joint supplement. Because Gustavo is so outgoing, his ideal forever family will have plenty of time to spend with him and also include at least one other friendly pup.
