Story

When we rescued Hammie from the Abilene Animal Shelter, we had no idea she would be arriving with some secret companions – eight (!) puppies. It seems that Hammie had a fleeting affair with an exotic gentleman in Abilene (haven’t we all!) before making her way to DFW and giving birth to 3 adorable boys and 5 beautiful girls just four weeks after being rescued. They’ll soon be ready for adoption at 8 tender weeks of age on October 7, and we’re looking for loving forever homes for them! We haven’t DNA tested these babies yet, so we’re not sure which breed mix is responsible for the cuteness you see before you (maybe they were born with it; maybe it’s Abilene). In any case, if you’d like to add some fuzzy puppy love to your home, we’re now accepting applications from loving forever families who have a fenced yard and at least one person at home most of the time to provide proper care, training, and socialization.
