2 year old male

Story

Despite his youthful age, two-year-old Verne is a sweet old soul at heart who prefers a quiet, relaxed atmosphere to a home that is bustling with activity. Due to his challenging past, Verne can be timid in new environments and becomes shaky when he hears loud noises or sees quick movements. When he feels safe and secure, however, the true Verne shines through; he’s a loving, Velcro boy who loves to snuggle quietly with his humans and show off his gentlemanly manners. Verne walks politely on the leash and is housetrained and crate trained (though he prefers to roam the house freely and can be trusted to do so). We believe that Verne would thrive in a mellow home environment and a quieter neighborhood, with an affectionate family who will allow him to sleep in bed with them. He would be fine as an only dog in the home or as part of a family who has older and more relaxed dogs. In return, Verne’s forever family will have a loyal and loving companion for life who happens to sport a lustrous fawn coat with alluring dark highlights! If you’d like to make Verne your permanent cuddle buddy, apply for him today.
