8 year old male

Story

Eight-year-old Mel is a loving, outgoing, and energetic guy. His favorite activities include going for walks, playing, moving from window to window during car rides to catch the best views, being petted, and eating all the things. And we do mean ALL the things, because he is a food-motivated guy! Mel enjoys eating his own bowl of food as an appetizer, and then moving on to his second or third course wherever he can find it; in the recent past, these courses may have included other dogs’ bowls and his foster dad’s stash of granola, trail mix, and seasoned pretzel sticks (which were accessed on the sly). When he’s not carbo-loading, Mel enjoys relaxing with his pack and cuddling under the covers in bed next to his human. He isn’t bothered by other dogs but definitely prefers the company of people (which is fair, because they’re the ones that supply the granola). Mel is housetrained but doesn’t love to be crated. Because he isn’t a big fan of solo time, his ideal forever family will have at least one person home most of the time so that he can live a crate-free life with consistent snuggles. If you’d like to make Mel a permanent part of your family, lock up your snacks and apply for him today!
