Adoption Event at Frisco Rail Yard
“All aboard” for the cutest interviews you will ever have! Join our adoptable pugs on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 1 PM to 4 PM at Frisco Rail Yard (9040 1st Street, Frisco, TX)—where the pugs are in charge!
Here is just a few of our sweethearts ready to steal your heart that will be there: Charmain, Socks, Finch, Stanley, Cannon, Echo, Lalo and so many more. These four-legged "recruiters" will be sniffing out the best candidates for their forever homes. Be prepared for intense evaluation techniques, such as lap-testing, face-licking, and puppy-dog-eyes assessment. If you pass (which you probably will), they’ll even help you fill out adoption forms! While you are being sized up, enjoy drink specials, and soak in all the pug love. Whether you are ready to adopt or want to bask in the joy of wiggly tails, this is the place to be. Do not miss the train—err, event! These pugs are waiting to steal your heart.
Pups & Pints
After careful consideration (and a few extra treats), our pugs have graciously invited their owners to the upcoming DFW Pug Rescue “Pups & Pints” event! But there is a catch—you can only come if you behave.
Join us on Sunday, March 9th, at 1:00 PM at Birdie’s Social Club (2735 W 5th Street, Ft. Worth, TX), for an afternoon of tail wags, belly rubs, and refreshing beverages. While you sip on drink specials, our pugs will be busy socializing, gossiping about their humans, and judging everyone's treat choices. Expect lots of snorts, zoomies, and maybe a few pugs demanding to be carried like royalty. Whether you are a pug parent, admirer, or just in it for the beer, this event is for you! So, leash up, grab your best “good human” behavior, and hang with the coolest pugs in town! They will be watching…
Our Volunteers: The Heart of DFW Pug Rescue
When DFW Pug Rescue was founded in 1996, we knew one thing for sure: we could only succeed with the help of dedicated volunteers. Twenty-nine years later, that belief remains unchanged. You are the backbone of this organization, the reason we can continue our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pugs in need.
Unlike many organizations, DFW Pug Rescue has no paid positions. The passion, generosity, and selflessness of our volunteers’ power everything we do. From transporting pugs to vet appointments, fostering scared and neglected dogs, organizing adoption events, fundraising, processing applications, and so much more, every single role is vital. No task is too small, no effort goes unnoticed.
We know that volunteering is not always easy. Giving these pugs a second chance takes time, patience, and an endless amount of love. Some days are filled with happy adoptions and wagging tails, while others bring challenges and heartache. And yet, you show up—day after day, week after week—because you believe in this mission.
Words cannot fully express our gratitude for you. Your dedication, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile mean the world to us and, most importantly, to the pugs whose lives you change. Because of you, countless pugs have found safety, health, and love in forever homes.
So, from the bottom of our hearts: thank you! Thank you for your time, energy, and your unwavering support. You are the reason DFW Pug Rescue exists. You are making a difference, and we are forever grateful to have you as part of our rescue family.
With appreciation,
DFW Pug Rescue
Pug Warrior Program
Monthly gifts from our Pug Warriors are essential in helping us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome nearly 400 pugs in need each year. In recognition of their gifts, Pug Warriors enjoy exclusive access to special events, volunteer opportunities, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into our efforts to ensure that no pug is left behind.
